| Holidays in Coral Bay, Paphos : |
|
We have had numerous holidays in Coral Bay, Paphos and tend
to come in May time as the weather is perfect for everyone in our family, my
mother-in-law doesn't like it too hot as she burns easily and some of our
friends love that you can still get a fabulous tan for going back to work with.
It’s a great time for BBQs and just sitting outside enjoying a Keo or a glass of
wine, or maybe driving down to the coral bay beach and going for a quick swim
before dinner.
Being in Coral Bay meant that we could all get down to the beach easily as it
was only a 10 minute walk and some of us even have a go at the water sports,
although a few of us did have some sore limbs having been on the rings. The jet
skis are a lot of fun though and you definitely have an upper body work out
clinging on for dear life.
We’ve been to nearly all the bars and restaurants on the Coral Bay strip and
tend to end the evening at the Coral Sunset bar as it’s really lively on an
evening and has a great cocktail menu. We’ve had Cypriot Meze, Chinese, Indian,
Italian and even fish and chips in Coral Bay and the boys don't miss out on
their beloved football as the bars in Coral Bay all pick up the live coverage
and probably matches that you wouldn’t get at home!
While we’re here we hire a 4x4 to get out to the Akamas as there are some
wonderful secluded beach areas, perfect for swimming and relaxing in the sun. We
tend to take a cricket bat and ball and set up a game as the beaches are usually
empty.
My 7 year old niece loves it here and always looks forward to horse riding at
George’s ranch, the staff are always lovely with her and she has a great time.
She’s also keen on ten pin bowling in Paphos, which is a good night out with the
kids. Bit more of a drive from Coral Bay but then us adults take the chance to
wander around bar street, or maybe pick up some gifts for taking back home.
We frequent a quaint little fish restaurant in Latchi, which is about 15 minute
drive from Coral Bay, or if you’re adventurous about 30 minutes off roading up
the Akamas, it’s a bit bumpy though, not good for hangovers!
There is tons to do on holiday in Cyprus and I think we’ve only done a tiny bit
of it, we’ll be back for more adventures soon.
